Adventures:

Our time in Brazil was amazing! It was hot and wet, but so beautiful! We spent a lot of time hiking through the Amazon Rainforest. There were so many weird bugs, it was disgusting, but somehow us girls managed to make it through. Our guide suggested we wear lots of bug spray to repel them. We were also advised to drink lots of water so we wouldn't get dehydrated. Dehydration seemed impossible in a climate that was so humid!

In the Amazon, we saw a multitude of plants and animals that we had never seen. In the rivers we saw the largest freshwater fish in the world, called the Arapaima! It was incredible. We also saw pink river dolphins! There were lots of mammals, but my favorite was a type of monkey called the Black Headed Uakari. One of the things the rainforest is known for is its array of colorful birds, such as the Hyacinth Macaw and the Oropendolas. That was probably my favorite part.

Now we're off to South Africa!
